Toyota FJ40
Electric Conversion
Originally launched in the early 1960s, the Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser quickly earned a reputation as one of the most durable and dependable off-road vehicles ever built. Inspired by American military Jeeps and refined through Toyota’s legendary engineering, the FJ40 became a global icon—renowned for its rugged good looks, go-anywhere capability, and bulletproof reliability.
Whether tackling mountain trails or desert dunes, it was a vehicle built to endure and explore. Today, the FJ40 is a beloved classic, prized by collectors and adventurers alike, and our electric conversion pays tribute to its storied past while giving it a cleaner, quieter future.

Battery range
This build uses a 45 kWh battery pack installed in the front of the car where the original straight-six engine would be situated.

With the battery pack we installed is enough to give up to 100 miles of driving range. But there is space for a second pack giving 150+ miles of range too if required.

Discreet charge port
A mix of 7 kW AC charging and CCS DC fast charging makes charging this car simple whether you are at home or on the move.

That is sufficient for a complete charge in around 30 minutes when using CCS charging.

Interior
As always the interior is completely customisable and no detail was too small.

Original features were retained or subtly modified to make them usable in an Electric Vehicle. Such as the gauge which were modified to display battery charge level, motor temp and power being used.
